Gentlemen,

In reply to your letter dated the 5th regarding

passages for my wife and myself to Hong Kong I notice with

regret that it is undesirable for children to travel.

My case is as follows:

I. My wife and children were born in Hong Kong, and her

family are there at the moment.

II.I've no relations in England where I can leave my

children, age 3, and 4 years old.

III.I've a daughter age one year in Hong Kong, and if I've

got to leave my two children behind it's going to make

things very hard for me.

Is it possible for my wife and children to travel?

and if there is any risks to be taken, I'd as soon have my

family taken back than left here where they have no friends

or relations,

I am, Sir,

Your obedient servant,

(sgd.) C. Jamieson.
